IT'S NOT JUST A MARKET!

" No, it's really that deep!" - Gloria M.

I love that everything is a lesson and I'm excited to share this one with you. I was left stunned when it all came together for me. That " AH HA!" moment made me giggle and shake my head. How could I have missed it?. I'm going to try my best and make it make sense to you as well. Hear me out.

A woman was sharing a story about her journey to a market that's about 3hrs from where she lives. She has crippling anxiety that makes it hard for her to leave her house. For the last 3 years, she has been challenging herself to drive to this market. When she'd drive and she's hit with anxiety, she'd turn around and go back home BUT, this particular day, she finally made it to the market and she couldn't stop crying. She kept saying : " I know it's just a market but it took me 3years to get here. this is a surreal feeling

This video made me see God in the details. I saw God through a different lens. Something that could of taken one person 2-3hours, took her 3 years. It made me realize that some things, really are that deep. You are not being dramatic. You are not asking for too much. You're hurting a certain way because it is that deep. You're celebrating a milestone because it is that deep. This made me realize that the little things have to matter in order for things to change. I have to realize that God has already orchestrated my life in a very specific way that no matter what, I am meant to get to my destination but it's just a matter of realizing that in order for this to happen, the little things have to matter.

This reminded me of the story in the bible of the Shunammite woman that offered a room in her home to the prophet Elisha. She could of just offered him an empty room with a blanket for him to stay the night but she went out of her way to get a bed, a lamp, a table and a chair so every time he comes to town, he stops at her house to have a meal and have a comfortable place to sleep and pray. In the end, the Shunammite woman who, all her life had wanted children, ended up being blessed with a son. (2kings 4:8-37

This story is profound to me because not only was she obedient, but she also paid attention to details. It was probably absurd to her husband but very meaningful to her. It was that deep for her to make her guest feel comfortable in her home. She went years without a child and probably lost hope but still managed to keep living and serving others. This tied me to the story of the lady going to the market. They both did not know when their breakthrough will happen or if they will live long enough to reach their goal but they kept going through the anxiety and lost hope.

Heavenly father,

I am so grateful for all that you are. For so long, I didn't see the value in paying attention to the small stuff. I was too quick to disregard the little things but I'm glad you made me realize that it's the small things that make the big ones. I thank you for teaching me this crucial lesson. I pray that the person going through the same thing realizes that, you are always in the details.
