CONGRATULATIONS ARE IN ORDER !

 "Change is scary but inevitable."

I finally found my journal! I missed writing in it. I usually write in my notes on my phone when a thought pops up but I absolutely love the feel of a pen between my fingers gliding though paper. I feel like it freezes the moment for me and makes me remember what I wrote about. Yes, I found my journal and read through it today. One particular note made me smile. It was titled, " words of affirmation ". I remembered exactly the moment I wrote that note. I wrote to my future self. I wrote it already imagining myself walking in THAT purpose. Reading that note made me want to share something with you today.

I am writing today to congratulate me. I don't have the habit of acknowledging my milestones. I notice other's accomplishments and even tell them to celebrate each milestones and not just brush it off by starting a new project and yet ME ..? It's as though congratulations never exists in my world. crazy right ?

Well, today I am proud of myself. I am proud of my milestones. I am proud of accomplishing what I wrote about in my journal and seeing it through. I am proud that I don't know much but I learn along the way and realize that it's not hard it just took discipline to accomplish the goal I had in mind.

I have a challenge for the month of February. If you want to write it down, do it. If you want to record it for your personal vault, do it! but remember the feeling, the smell, the mindset, the motivation you have in the moment and write to your future self about your goal and how it will happen and what you're going to say when it's accomplished.

I also challenge you to take the time to think of the things that you have already accomplished and give yourself grace and congratulate yourself. even if it's just to say " I am so proud of you !". Stop letting big moments pass you by because you are so busy chasing other goals. This also goes out to me.

Dear God,

As humans, time is so important. But you do not operate in time. 1 minute to me is an eternity to you. Today, I thank you for the strength you gave my family and I to reach this milestone. Because we were so focused on the timing, we, at times lost hope and wondered if this was ever going to happen. But because you are the God of circumstances, you made sure to see your promise through and I am so thankful. And in this posture of gratitude, I pray that those who are still looking to you for their promise to be fulfilled, not lose hope or sight of the goal ahead. I pray that you give them strength and get them to the finish line so that they may testify about your goodness and say at last, that they are proud of what they have accomplished.
