Dear God,

although my heart is broken and I haven't spoken to you about it all, 

you still remind me that I am here for a reason.

" Growing up isn't always measured by your age or physical appearance it's sometimes measured by your accomplishment." I love to see those around me accomplish what they work hard for. Those who give their all to something to prove to themselves that they are capable of pushing their bodies and intellectualism to the maximum. November 18th 2017, I was honored to participate in my good friend's graduation at Carlton University. I unfortunately was unable to make it to the ceremony but I made it on time enough to watch her walk through the doors as she and her fellow graduates were being clapped for in regards of their accomplishments. Looking at the relief in her eyes was not only priceless but it was beautiful. The person who impacted me the most was her mother. YEAR OF EXECUTION : THROUGH CLEARER LENSES

 " you don't know how much you need your senses until you can't use them anymore" - Gloria M. At the beginning of this year, my Optometrist referred me to an Ophthalmologist because they noticed that the nerves connected to my retina were damaged and had to be fixed with a laser. This needed to be urgently fixed or else these issues were going to lead to an early blindness. When I first went to the see the Ophthalmologist, he had examined my eyes to see exactly what needed to be done and they gave me another appointment for the procedure.  Days leading up to the procedure, I was advised to have someone pick me up because I probably wouldn't be able to see after the surgery. Unfortunately, plans changed so I found myself going alone, going through the procedure alone and leaving alone. There's a lesson in all of this. I may be biased but his music really stood out to me. And when I had the opportunity to meet him in person and watch him in his element, I was more impressed because the little time I spent around, made me respect the many hats he wears. He is a singer, songwriter, rapper, producer and executive producer. But above all, he is a student first.
