The Calling.

As human beings, we are created to evolve. To grow. To accomplish the purposes that we were put on this earth for. I'm happy about evolution. I love moving forward.

Before I go any deeper , hear this story...

Ever since I started college, my dream was shifted from becoming a journalist to becoming a flight attendant. A lot of people took it the wrong way. They said all kinds of things. They gave me so much of their opinions that I felt I had no choice but to listen to them because to me, they knew so much more than I did.
I still persevered into Tourism and travelling though the Set backs and Failures. I even got to the point of reconsidering my program because it just wasn't working out but something inside of me just kept telling me to push through. No, I haven't finished yet but lately it's been on my mind. Searching up fields in tourism and travelling ...especially for flight attendant. I wanted to know what the requirements were. It shocked me to know that I didn't need a college diploma. It is an option but not a necessity.

Two weeks ago, I chose to apply for the posts that were available. The little voice inside of me just kept talking. Kept encouraging me to do it. I applied then forgot about it because in my heart , well there was no chance. As much as I love it ..I'm just not courageous enough.. not bold enough ..not confident enough.

Until one day; I was going through my emails and seen one from Sunwing airlines. The email was inviting me to their interview session that was taking place at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel. I could not believe my eyes. The interview day approached and I was able to attend. As I walked in, they greeted us well. Gave me a name tag. Checked my credentials and everything I needed to bring I had it. They then redirected me to another room where everyone else were. As I walked in and seen the amount of people that were sitting there waiting, I began to feel intimidated. They were all kinds, Old , young adults, Those who were just changing their career paths, to those going from bartenders to Flight attendants and many more.

It was a group interview and as it went by, I noticed that most skill sets that these people had, I didn't have it. But I stayed until the end of the interview. When the interview finished, I walked out more confident then I was walking in and I couldn't understand why because I wasn't on the same level as these people in my interview group.

No! I did not get hired to work for the company. None the less it was an honor being a part of the 200's chosen from the 1000 & plus candidates who applied for the position and I was okay with it. What I learned that day, I am now applying it in my life. It's amazing because every single jobs that I got from that day forward, has something relating me to what I want to do and if becoming a flight attendant isn't the option anymore, I will be glad working any position in the airline industry.

All this just to say, when you are called to do something in your life, it doesn't matter the comments or input that the outside world has for you. God finds a way to bring it to you because he knows you will be able to handle it. Fear will play a big part in that but keep your eyes on your destiny God will see you through.

Prayer :

Dear God,
As the days go by, allow me to stay focused on you
to only listen to you and know that no matter the trials and tribulations,
it is You that knows my destiny.
Remind me everyday that it's not always what I want that I will get
and because you are by my side, I will always get better than what I had.
