As a creator though... not so much. You feel the obligation of consistently picking your brain. It's a never ending cycle. Most times you try to combine ideas together because you feel it's the right thing to do until well ... Nothing. So you scribble, go back to your original idea and realize that it no longer makes sense. I remember when I first started writing. I'd read a lot before ( yes! I still read. not as much as before but once I put my hands on a book, I've got to finish it to understand what it's all about. I mean, it's the right thing to do. Right?) but whenever I'd read, my brain will travel to 25 different places. Mind you, I used to write short fiction stories and whenever I'd read back what I wrote, I'd realize tha...

Those who give their all to something to prove to themselves that they are capable of pushing their bodies and intellectualism to the maximum. November 18th 2017, I was honored to participate in my good friend's graduation at Carlton University. I unfortunately was unable to make it to the ceremony but I made it on time enough to watch her walk through the doors as she and her fellow graduates were being clapped for in regards of their accomplishments. Looking at the relief in her eyes was not only priceless but it was beautiful. The person who impacted me the most was her mother. There is nothing like seeing the fruit of your labor accomplish something that most drop out of or become disinterested in after awhile. She was the happiest; The proudest ! Here's to heartbreaks and healing, to wisdom and understanding. Here's to loving Love, to understanding it and not pushing it away. Here's to growth, to light and life. Dear God, Lately, I have been unable to pray. My heart has been burdened and it's been hard wording what is happening. This prayer, is simply to thank you for allowing my body to feel so deeply and not rejecting it. Amen.

I am always told that the more you do some soul searching the more you learn about yourself, the more you are bound to change. So I say this to you ...Patience is an important personality trait that you could possess as a human being. Most situations in my life would have never happened if I was patient enough to wait. As humans we find ourselves stuck more times than we could count. It could be financially, emotionally or Spiritually. As a student you could also find yourself stuck; ex: Being unable to understand a course no matter how many times someone explains it to you. As human beings, we are created to evolve. To grow. To accomplish the purposes that we were put on this earth for. I'm happy about evolution. I love moving forward. Before I go any deeper , hear this story... Ever since I started college, my dream was shifted from becoming a journalist to becoming a flight attendant. A lot of people took it the wrong way. They said all kinds of things. They gave me so much of their opinions that I felt I had no choice but to listen to them because to me, they knew so much more than I did. I still persevered into Tourism and travelling though the Set backs and Failures. I even got to the point of reconsidering my program because it just wasn't working out but something inside of me just kept telling me to push through.
